Commander Paul Tollin of the US Navy spoke of his abducted daughter in Japan. He had met a woman in Japan and they had lived happily in the US. She has since left with his child and the Japanese courts are unable to help.

Cmdr. Tollin declared the cold, hard reality of Japanese law, "Whoever takes the child first, wins." He continued by saying that physical possession, no matter how it is obtained, equals custody. (0:41)
